Testing Services

About Testing Services

The Bryson Testing Center provides a quiet, secure environment for placement testing, make-up exams, credit-by-exams, and testing for students with accommodations. We administer more than 1,000 exams each year to MTC and OSU students.

Before Your Test

  • Bring a valid photo ID (for example: driver's license, school ID, or PowerSchool profile printout with photo).
  • Schedule an appointment, as walk ins can only be accepted under specific conditions.
  • Testing accommodations must be arranged through the Disability Services Office before your appointment.

Testing Center Policies

Most students will find the information they need on the individual testing pages. The policies below provide additional details about Testing Center procedures, security requirements, accommodations, and student responsibilities.

  • The Testing Center provides pencils, scratch paper, basic calculators, graphing calculators, and desktop computers.

  • Breaks are allowed only when authorized by the exam, instructor, testing provider, or approved accommodations.
  • Leaving the testing center without authorization may result in your testing session being ended.

Test Security

  • Testing sessions are monitored to protect exam integrity.
  • Testing materials, scratch paper, and exam content may not be copied, photographed, recorded, shared, or removed from the Testing Center.

  • Academic consequences are determined by the instructor, department, testing provider, or program.
  • Placement, certification, or other secure exam attempts may be voided if exam integrity cannot be verified.
