Commencement Ceremony is happening soon!
The graduation ceremony will take place each spring semester. Graduation is for those students who have completed all of their degree requirements by the end of that spring term. Students who still have classes remaining may not participate in the spring ceremony. If you complete your degree requirements during the summer or fall term, you may participate in the subsequent spring graduation ceremony.
- Marion Technical College Graduation Ceremony will be held Friday May 10 at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm. All graduates must arrive at 5:30pm to May Pavilion, on the west side of the Palace building

Petitioning to Graduate
To apply for graduation, you must meet with your academic advisor to make sure that you have met all degree or certificate requirements and fulfill all prior financial obligations and federal loan program requirements. Once you have met with your advisor and you have met all degree requirements, students must submit a petition by clicking on either the Petition for Degree or Petition for Certificate according to the published deadline for each term. Students may have to petition for both a degree or certificate if they will complete both in the same term. Only students who will graduate with a degree, and have met the criteria, are eligible to attend commencement. Upon receipt of the petition, all students’ academic records are reviewed to verify completion of degree requirements and eligibility. The College Registrar will notify a student’s academic advisor of their ineligibility to graduate; the student will be notified directly by their academic advisor.

- All guest over the age of 2 years old MUST have a ticket to enter the theatre.
- Cell phones of guests and graduates must be silenced throughout the duration of the ceremony. No flash photography.
