Investing in Marion’s Future Grant Helps Students Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the lives of millions of graduating high school students and college students. Now the Marion Community Foundation and Dr. James and Ellen Bazzoli are generously funding an innovative new grant at Marion Technical College to remove financial barriers for local students who want to earn a degree.
“For high school graduates and college students whose lives were derailed by the pandemic, this new grant can help them get back on track,” said Dr. Ryan McCall, president of Marion Technical College. “This removes the financial barriers.”
Who Is Eligible for the Marion Technical College COVID Relief Grant?

Students who graduated from a Marion County high school between 2020 and 2023 or who graduated from those schools prior to 2020 and attended Marion Technical College during the pandemic years can apply for this last-dollar grant. If there is a shortfall between scholarships and grants, this funding will close the gap.
Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We have funds to award. Right now, we need Marion County graduates to apply!” said Tony Box, director of Admissions and Recruitment. “Our biggest wish is that students do not miss out on this opportunity.”

Eligible students must:
