About Disability Services

MTC is committed to providing students with disabilities equal and equitable access to all programs, services, and activities, including classroom access. Disability Services works with students and faculty to facilitate appropriate provision of accommodations based on functional limitations of the diagnosed disability or disabling condition.

Accommodations & Eligibility

Accommodations for disabilities are determined on a case by case basis through an interactive process between MTC Disability Services and the inquiring student. Documentation of the disability may be requested to help determine reasonable and appropriate accommodations.

Pregnancy and Other Temporary Conditions

Disability Services also serves students who are experiencing temporary conditions, such as pregnancy or recovering from a surgery/injury.

Pregnant and parenting students are covered under a federal law called Title IX. Disability Services works with students who are expecting, or whose partners are expecting, because they may be impacted by their condition in a way that interferes with their access to courses, programs, and services. If you are a student who is pregnant, or if you are a student and your partner is pregnant, please let us know.
