Program format(s)
This program follows an 8-week course format. This means you will take fewer classes at a time, and earn credits faster as you complete the program. Each semester is divided into two 8-week sessions, with a smaller number of classes taken during each compared to a traditional 16-week semester schedule.
Degree option
Two-year full-time degree schedule; a mixture of marketing, core business, computer, and communication courses; this program can be completed on a part-time basis. Most second-year marketing courses are offered in an online format. See your academic advisor to confirm the schedule.
- Assess how advertising efforts can provide communication solutions to marketing problems.
- Perform technical support tasks for video production.
- Prepare social media posts through public relation campaigns.
- Create a website applying webpage layouts using tables, text, graphics, hyperlinks, CSS, and navigational menus.
- Develop a portfolio of digitally manipulated images.
- Evaluate business career pathways.
- Use problem-solving methodology to solve customer concerns and business problems.
- Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to measure, process, and communicate financial information.
- Develop a marketing plan incorporating products, promotions, sales ideas, and strategies.
- Describe legal requirements and ethical considerations pertaining to organizations.
- Explain economics concepts including demand, supply, competition, resources and making choices with regards to consumer behavior.
- Apply techniques used to transition from the classroom to the work environment.
- Demonstrate business practices within the Business Management field.
