Lindsey Knapp, Ph.D.

Biography

Lindsey has been teaching Anatomy Physiology and Biology at MTC since 2020. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell, and Developmental Biology from Emory University and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ashland University. Lindsey’s graduate work focused on the development of the inner ear, specifically on the molecular consequences of mutations that impair hearing. Since graduating, she has worked as a Genetic Variant Curator at Otogenetics Corporation and a Visiting Instructor at OSU-Lima teaching a variety of biology classes before joining MTC’s faculty. Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her dogs, going for walks and hikes, kayaking, and drinking café lattes and iced coffee.
