Tyler Maley, M.S., M.Ed.

Biography

Tyler Maley is the Director of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Marion Technical College. He has completed a Master of Science in Mathematics at Shawnee State University and has completed 3 degrees from The Ohio State University in mathematics education. Tyler currently teaches and coordinates Statistics, Statistics Plus, Statistics II, and Introductory Data Science. He began teaching in 2010 and has helped secure multiple grants to provide a better learning experience for MTC students. Tyler enjoys being part of college committees including the Accreditation Leadership Team, Data Team, etc. As a member of Ohio’s Mathematics Chairs Network and Ohio Mathematics Initiative, Tyler has deep research interests in undergraduate teaching of mathematics and statistics courses. Tyler is a member of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC), Ohio Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges (OHIOMATYC), American Educational Research Association (AERA), Mathematical Association of America (MAA), and the Association for Institutional Research (AIR).
