Biography

Wendy Weichenthal grew up in Marion and graduated from River Valley High School before earning a bachelor of science in journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.

She worked in television news for 6 years at WBNS-10TV and the Ohio News Network (ONN) as a producer and assignment editor before transitioning to public relations. Wendy worked for the American Cancer Society for about a decade, working on the SmokeFreeOhio campaign and working her way up to senior director of corporate communications.

Wendy moved back to Marion and joined Marion Technical College in 2015. She represents Marion Tech in the community through the local BNI (Business Networking International) chapter and Marion Noon Kiwanis. She has been a contributor to the MarionMade! campaign since its inception and is currently managing its effort to highlight the people, places, products, and programs that make Marion a vibrant, thriving community.
