Matthew Hollander, Ph.D.

Biography

Dr. Matt Hollander joined MTC in 2019 as a Sociology faculty member. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology in 2017 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he taught many undergraduate Sociology courses. He also worked as a post-doctoral Health Sciences researcher from 2017-18 at UW's Department of Emergency Medicine, where he contributed to NIH-funded studies on dementia care and community paramedicine. To date, he has published or co-published 15 peer-reviewed articles on resistance to authority, sociological theory, and speed dating. He is currently seeking a publisher for his co-authored book manuscript on the Milgram Experiment. His current interests include racial justice initiatives in central Ohio involving African American, Hispanic, and immigrant communities.
