Andrew Hand, Ph.D.

Biography

Andrew Hand is Director of Arts & Science, Social Science & Humanities, and a professor of psychology at MTC who enjoys teaching various psychology courses on campus, online, in local high schools, and at the local correctional institutions. He has taught full-time at MTC since 2009 and he is the college's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society advisor. Before joining MTC, Andrew spent 11 years running a special school for recovering addicts and alcoholics. He enjoys working with addicts and alcoholics in recovery and his research focuses on the role alternative reinforcers play in drug treatment.
