The Net Price Calculator is a tool for students to use to get an estimate of what it may cost to attend Marion Technical College each year. It is important to understand that the information you receive from the calculator is a broad estimate. It includes cost estimates of not only tuition and fees, but also books, room and board (rent or housing) and other (including transportation, personal and miscellaneous). It includes estimates of grants and scholarships based on aid students in similar situations received in a prior year. Many factors come into play when determining a student’s actual costs and awards.
It is also important to note that the Net Price Calculator does not incorporate Federal Direct Student Loans into its financial aid calculations. Students may be eligible for Federal Direct Student Loans. The loan amounts students are offered vary based on dependency status and grade level in school.
Exit Counseling is required of all loan borrowers who graduate or drop below half time status (less than 6 credit hours). For Exit Counseling, go to myDirectLoan, choose “Complete Exit Counseling”, and follow the steps outlined. An Exit Counseling session will provide information concerning the terms of a student’s loan, indebtedness, repayment and debt management. Students who do not complete the Exit Counseling will not receive their diplomas or academic transcripts from MTC. Failure to complete Exit Counseling may also delay future disbursement of aid at MTC.
