Remote instruction through online courses at MTC delivers a learning experience that is both convenient and high-quality. Even without a physical classroom, these courses still offer a high level of interactivity between you, your instructor, and your peers. Although the online learning experience may differ from being an on-campus, the outcomes are the same: increased knowledge and personal growth
MTC has developed free sample courses that you can “test drive” at no cost to see for yourself. These courses are a great way to familiarize yourself with online learning at MTC and can help you decide whether or not to take a class. They can also help you understand two of the different types of online course delivery methods: synchronous and asynchronous.
Course materials and lectures are presented and on a set schedule. Students will meet as a class at specific times online, just like meeting in a physical classroom. Assignments may be given with specific due dates, and the instructor typically delivers course lectures and information live in real-time. COMING SOON – Synchronous Online Course
Course materials are completed at your own pace. This means that you do not have to be online at any certain time. Assignments are still due at specific deadlines, and the instructor will present course information in a way that you can access on your own schedule.
Course description: Students are introduced to basic exercise science and mental health concepts. Materials are completed at your own pace and contain two weeks of activities in a full course. Completion time: 4-6 hours.
