Tyler Maley, M.S., M.Ed. Assistant Professor, Mathematics & Department Chair of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Biography Tyler Maley is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and the Department Chair of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Marion Technical College. He has completed a Master of Science in Mathematics at Shawnee State University and has completed 3 degrees from The Ohio State University in mathematics education. Tyler currently teaches and coordinates Statistics, Calculus I, and Calculus II. He began teaching in 2010 and has helped secure multiple grants to provide a better learning experience for MTC students. Tyler enjoys being part of college committees including the Accreditation Leadership Team, Data Team, and chairs the Rank and Promotion Committee. As a member of Ohio’s Mathematics Chairs Network and Ohio Mathematics Initiative, Tyler has deep research interests in undergraduate teaching in mathematics. Tyler is a member of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC), Ohio Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges (OHIOMATYC), and the Association for Institutional Research (AIR).
