Lori Barr, Ph.D. Director of Social Sciences and Humanities & Professor of Psychology Biography Dr. Lori Barr is Director of Social Sciences and Humanities for Marion Technical College and serves as Professor of Psychology and OER Program Coordinator for the College. She has been with Marion Technical College since 2014. Lori has a Master’s degree from the University of Akron and a Ph.D. from Walden University, where her dissertation focused on student success in developmental education as related to adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Lori has post-doctoral certifications in grief counseling, crisis and trauma-related counseling, and interventions. She currently teaches a full range of Psychology courses at MTC and was instrumental in creating MTC’s Behavioral Health program. She enjoys serving on College committees, where she recently served as Chair of the Curriculum Committee. She currently serves as TAG/OH Transfer 36 Faculty Review Panel member and maintains memberships in several professional organizations.
