No one is more surprised than Karen that she became a teacher. After earning a B.S. in architecture from the University of Virginia, she worked for nonprofits in Washington, DC in administrative roles before moving to central Ohio.  In a dramatic turn of events, Karen changed career paths and completed her coursework for Middle Childhood licensure at Ohio Wesleyan and Otterbein University. After teaching for a few years, she accepted a role as the Program Coordinator of The Arts Castle in Delaware and has spent the last ten years with Kaplan. </p></biography><education><ul>
