Advanced Standing (LPN, Paramedic, and Military Medic) Virtual Information Session

  • You are invited to: A Virtal Advanced Standing to RN Information Session
  • Wednesday, April 29th, 2020
  • Two available times: 11am or 8pm
  • This virtual session is presented by the course coordinator Stacie Campbell, MSN, RN.
  • The session will cover information for LPN, Paramedic, and Military Medics that are interested in becoming an RN through the Advanced Standing program at MTC.
  • Next start date is January 2021 with a priority application deadline of Oct 31st, 2020.

If you enjoy nursing and want to advance in your field, this program helps you get to the next level by going from Advanced Standing to a registered nurse (RN). Make your work experience count by testing to receive credit for skills you have already mastered.

Your Degree

After completing this program, you’ll receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree and be eligible to take the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensing Exam  (NCLEX-RN).

What You’ll Learn

Enjoy small class sizes and practical learning to take your skills even deeper and use your critical thinking to care for patients with a higher level of need. You will develop the skills to be an effective care provider. You’ll learn how to perform nursing skills, collect data from patients, select nursing diagnoses based on analysis of health patterns, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
