Community Invited to support MTC Nursing Students at 6th Annual 5K Walk/Run/Roll

(Marion) Marion Technical College invites the community to support the 6th Annual MTC Nursing 5K Walk/Run/Roll at the Marion Campus on June 29, 2019.

Two participants and a dog prepare for the 5K to start.

Registration opens at 7 a.m. at the Health Technologies Center. The walk/run/roll starts at 8 a.m. The entry fee is just $25 and benefits MTC nursing students including the cost of the pinning ceremony, study materials and other supports.

Three women smile as the 5K prepares to start. Participants including Bob Haas get ready to start the 5K in 2018.

Awards will be given to the top three men, the top three women, and the top dog. Door prizes are available. The course is wheelchair accessible.

“This is a fun community event. Get healthy, get active, and support our local nursing students,” said Stacie Campbell, MSN, RN.

Register by June 12th to guarantee a T-shirt.

If you prefer not to register online, you may print a registration form and mail it in with a check. Directions are on the form.

Volunteers encourage the walkers and runners along the 5K route.

“The MTC Nursing 5K is a great way to start a Saturday and to see the beautiful Marion Campus,” said Bob Haas, Chief Strategy Officer for MTC and regular participant in this event.
