Our Center for Workforce Development (CWD) trains hundreds of individuals each year to improve skills that lead to business success. Whether your organization is for-profit or non-profit, private, public, or government, we have 30 years of experience helping employers get results in a wide variety of industries. We can work with you to design and select customized training that can be delivered at your location or the CWD. We also offer non-credit online courses to help your employees improve critical skills from home. Federally funded on-the-job-training is also available at CWD and is designed to increase the employment and retention of U.S. workers. Eligible workers are often new entrants to the labor force or those seeking new skills to become re-employed after a layoff. Opportunities are also available for individuals who need special training to obtain productive, self-sustaining employment. In the unfortunate event of a layoff, we provide retraining opportunities and job placement assistance, tailored to the needs of the business and the laid-off employees. Short-term assistance may also be available for transportation, childcare, tools, equipment, uniforms, and other benefits at your local OhioMeansJobs. Contact us for more information about CWD training opportunities.
