Why should I see my advisor?

As part of the "promise" to students, students are responsible to setting up a MAPS plan with their advisor. Planning ahead will ease stress, keep you on track and allow the college to assure that you will not lose time or money in the transition. If you do not set up a MAPS – we cannot make this guarantee.

How do I find my advisor?

Through MAPS (My Advising Plan for Semesters) which is named "My Plan" on the My MTC Page
As soon as you log on to MAPS, you will be connected with your advisor and can start to communicate with them.

Through My MTC

• "My Info"
• "Classes"
• "Schedule"
• Select most recent schedule from drop down box
• When you open your schedule, you'll see your advisor's name at the bottom of the page

No Computer?

You can go to the computer lab to log on to MAPS to find your advisor.
You can also visit the Student Records office in the TEC building and they will look your advisor up for you!

If you are unsure of your advisor, email semesters@mtc.edu and someone will get back to you with that information!
