Scholarships Made Easy.
Selection of Foundation, President’s, and College Tech Prep Scholarship recipients will be made by high school officials and reported to MTC by May 1. Eligibility is certified after the student’s first semester, senior-year grades are posted. The number of scholarships available will be limited and determined by available funds. Scholarships are limited to one per student.
Students must begin classes on a full-time basis in summer or fall term and maintain satisfactory academic progress as outlined in the MTC Student Handbook. Students may attend less than full time in the spring term and receive a pro-rated award as long as they attended the prior fall term on a full time basis.
2.5 or higher GPA in high school;
Successfully complete proficiency exams;
Complete and process the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) including all additional required documentation by May 1;
Remember to include MTC as one of your college choices on the FAFSA – our Federal College Code is 010736;
Complete and return this application to your high school guidance counselor* at least a week prior to May 1.

Available to high school seniors in the top five percent (5%) of their class. The Foundation Scholarship pays up to your full tuition charges**!
Available to high school seniors who are in the top 50 percent (50%) of their class. The President’s Scholarship pays up to $1,500 toward your first-year tuition.
COLLEGE TECH PREP SCHOLARSHIPS
This scholarship pays up to $1,500 and is available to students who have completed the College Tech Prep curriculum.
SKILLS FOR SUCCESS GRANTS
First-time college students who enroll in "Skills for Success " may qualify for this grant which covers tuition charges.
Students of one quarter or more African-American,
Hispanic, Asian-American, or Native American descent may qualify for this scholarship ($150-$450).
DEVELOPMENT FUND SCHOLARSHIPS
Numerous scholarships are available through the
MTC Development Fund. A 2.5 minimum GPA is required along with school/college/community involvement and financial need ($150-$1,500).
Students with a 3.5 or higher GPA may qualify for an MTC Academic Scholarship ($150-$1,500).
EARLY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
This scholarship is awarded to high school students who qualify for attendance under the Concurrent
Enrollment program ($300).
