Are You Planning To Graduate This Spring?

• Before registering for your final term of attendance, meet with your advisor to ensure you have completed all requirements for your degree or certificate.
• Complete a petition for graduation in the Office of Student Records, Tec Room 106, or if you received spring graduation packetin the mail please fill it out and mail it in.
• Meet all financial obligations to the college including attending an exit interview if you have received funding through Stafford Student Loans.
• Since most students graduate at the end of spring term each year, a special mailing is sent to potential graduates of associate degrees based upon the number of accumulated credit hours earned. This mailing includes a petition for graduation,career placement information, and an information sheet explaining the spring graduation ceremony. Students who do not receive a packet in the mail may pick one up in the Office of Student Records beginning February 1.
• Students who wish to attend the graduation ceremony and receive their diplomas at the ceremony must return their petitions by the April 20 deadline each year.
• For those students not participating in the ceremony the deadline to submit your petition to graduate is the last day of the Spring Term. Students receiving certificates will not receive an information packet. They should simply complete a petition at the Office of Student Records.
• Do you have access to e-mail services? If so, you may e-mail your graduation information to the Office of Student Records, at laveryj@mtc.edu.  Just remember that all deadline dates still apply.
