If you need to use one of Marion Technical College’s computers and a webcam,
MTCWorks! has set up the perfect place to practice your interviewing skills! It is available by appointment on Wednesdays, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Step 1. Go to Homepage. http://mtc.interviewstream.com *
Step 2. Click on How to Use it to watch a 2 minute tutorial video. This sheet will help you navigate the
software after you view the video.
Step 3. After viewing the tutorial
Click on create account using the following information:
a) Fill in: Your first and last name
b) Email = Please use your Marion Technical College
student email
c) Password = Your last name first initial last 4 digits of
Power Campus ID. (jonest0044)
d) Confirm Password
e) Click register
Step 4. Clicking register will take you to your user dashboard.
a) Click on conduct interview
b) Choose the question set as instructed or create your
own.
* Interview Stream recommends using FireFox if you experience problems with Microsoft Internet
Explorer while practicing your interviewing skills. You can download FireFox at www.mozilla.com.
Step 5. Click on Begin your Interview
a) This will produce the next screen to test your camera and sound.
Step 6. When this screen appears, choose your webcam and mic. Then click on test.
a) Choose allow flash when asked
b) Test volume of mic
c) Choose continue when asked
Step 7. Once your mic and camera are tested, you will view a short video introduction with
instructions on how to conduct the interview.
a) When asked a question, you will be given a countdown
3..2..1 before your webcam starts to record your
response.
b) You now have 2 minutes to respond when the green
light lights up.
c) When your answer is complete, click the left mouse
button anywhere on the screen to stop recording.
Step 8. You can choose to review, retry or continue to the next question by choosing the appropriate
button.
a) Review allows you to view your answer
b) Retry erases your answer so you can give another answer to
the question
c) Continue saves your response moves you to the next question
Step 9. Repeat step 8 until you finish all interview questions.
Step 10. You will be automatically routed back to your User Dashboard once your interview is
complete. You will be sent an email with a link to your interview.
Step 11. You can now choose to review and critique your interview by
clicking on Watch Interview.
Step 12. You can send a link to your instructor from the Watch Interview
page. Simply click the send button on the lower right of the viewing screen
and follow directions. |
