Cross training - preparing workers for multitasking - has become much more commonplace in the health care field. Completers of MTC's Administrative Medical Assisting certificate program will have strong clerical and medical skills, and will be ideal candidates for many cross-trained support positions.
This program consists of four quarters of full-time study in medical terminology, office procedures, communications, and an additional proffessional practice course which will lend real world experience in the healthcare field. For potential students considering other responsibilities such as work and family, program curriculum can be spread over a longer period of time, providing greater flexibility.
