MTC offers myriad opportunities for high school students to earn college credit. To maintain consistent academic standards certain criteria and restrictions apply. Click on any of the links below to learn more.
The state sponsored Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program is designed to allow qualified high school students the opportunity to earn college credit and/or high school graduation credit through successful completion of college courses.
Dual Credit is a specific type of dual enrollment program outside of PSEO legislation. Dual credit is earned at the high school with qualified high school faculty teaching the courses. Courses are taught during regular high school hours and on the same schedule as the high school.
Seniors to Sophomores is a specific type of dual enrollment program outside of PSEO legislation. The program enrolls qualified HS seniors in MTC courses on MTC’s campus full time.
Articulated credit allows high school students to receive MTC credit for learning they achieved in technical courses in high school when they enroll as a traditional student.
