Lack of recreation and "play" in a student's life creates problems -- decreased productivity and academic achievement, as well as increased absenteeism and levels of dissatisfaction -- so the Office of Student Activities & Recreation sponsors a system of microprogramming to best meet the needs of a diverse campus population.

Recreation Consulting and Trip Planning Service
utilizes sophisticated software to provide information packets, detailed maps, topographic mapping for hiking and cycling planning and other material for any student or staff member preparing for a trip or vacation
sponsoring such services as an annual campus Wellness Fair, quarterly health checks, and individual fitness programs.
Student Clubs & Organizations
A variety of student clubs and organizations are available to Marion Technical College students, such as Beta Nu Phi (the MTC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa), Society of Leadership and Success Club, Computer Club, and others.
