The curriculum is comprised of core accounting, business, and finance courses.
Students will gain computer skills involving Accounting, Payroll and Finance; this certificate is an ideal stepping stone into MTC’s Accounting associate degree program.

Perform mathematical calculations related to the accounting profession.
Recognize and solve problems through analysis, evaluation, and synthesis, to make informed decisions.

Use technologies to evaluate business problems and apply software applications to record, analyze, and present information.
Utilize accounting and finance principles to manage and maintain an accurate budget.

This is a two semester curriculum comprised of core Accounting courses and studies in business, finance, and English. Credits earned can apply to an associate’s degree.
MTC Application for Admission and nonrefundable applicable fee.
High school transcript (or GED results) and college transcripts (if applicable).
Successful completion of the Basic Skills Assessment ACT or Accuplacer and Technology Skills Test (TST) is required. Students also have the option to complete College Foundation courses.
