Your gift to the Marion Technical College Development Fund is tax-deductible. Staff members are ready to assist you in whatever way possible as you plan your gift to the College. Please contact us at 740-389-4636 (extension 333), or at email@example.com with any questions you may have.
Cash and Pledges
Gifts can be made by cash or check. Pledges should be made in writing or by means of an intent form available from the Foundation Office.
If your employer or your spouse’s employer has a program that matches part or all of a qualifying donation, such a program can double or even triple your gift amount. Check with your human resource department to see if a matching gift program exists.
Stocks and Bonds
Market conditions may have created an ideal giving opportunity for stocks and bonds, which you can transfer to the Marion Technical College Foundation with tax savings for you.
Planned gifts are commitments that are arranged today but generally come to the Foundation after your lifetime; such as designating a gift in your will, or designating the MTC Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. Your planned gift to the Foundation helps to ensure MTC’s ability to deliver educational services and scholarships to our community far into the future. Some of the benefits of making a planned gift include:
- Deferring or avoiding capital gains tax on appreciated securities
- Retaining income for yourself or for the lifetime of your named beneficiary
- Preserving your legacy
Establish A Scholarship Fund
MTC’s tuition is among the lowest in the state, yet many students still cannot afford to attend. The costs of tuition, books and educational supplies can present serious financial challenges. Endowed scholarships provide a stable, permanent source of funds to help deserving students.
Donors may establish a named and endowed scholarship fund as a tribute to an individual, a group, or in connection with a particular area of study at the College. Creating an endowed scholarship fund allows you to make a financial commitment to the College and to the students of our community, with an investment that will continue to give far into the future. Presently, the minimum amount for establishing an endowed scholarship is $5,000.
The MTC Foundation’s Gift of Education contribution program allows you to make a gift in honor or in memory of someone special. Your gift to the Foundation makes for a unique personal gift from you for the holidays, a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation, or Mother's/ Father's Day. The Foundation acknowledges all gifts by sending a card to your honoree as a gift from you. You may call the Advancement Office at 740-389-4636 (ext. 333) to discuss your interest in establishing an endowed scholarship, contributing to the Capital Campaign, or any gift option. Or if you prefer, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions.
