Payment Options

Tuition and fees are due in full by the fee payment deadline prior to the start of each quarter. The following fee payment options are available:

Deferred Payment Plan

If you are in "good standing" with MTC, you have the option to pay your tuition in three installments. The $35 service charge and the first installment (1/3 of the tuition and fees) are due by each quarter's fee payment deadline. The two remaining installments are due in approximately 30 and 60 days. A penalty charge will be assessed for late payments, and students with outstanding debts to MTC are not permitted to register for subsequent classes or to receive grades/transcripts. Students using the Deferred Payment Plan should meet with the Business Office.

Credit Card Payment

You have the option of making payment by VISA, Master Card, or Discover in person or by phone.

Emergency Loan

Up to $150 may be borrowed for non-tuition expenses if you are a student in "good standing" who has completed at least one quarter.  A $15 service fee is assessed.

To receive more detailed information call 740-389-4636.

Financial Aid Procedures

If you receive financial assistance from a grant, scholarship, agency, or employer, you must express your intent to attend MTC by accepting this assistance. Procedures for applying and accepting financial aid are listed below.

  • You must apply for financial aid online at www.mtc.edu/FinancialAid.
  • MTC will notify you of your eligibility when your financial aid is processed and complete.
  • You must accept the terms of your financial aid online at www.mtc.edu/FinancialAid. MTC will apply your financial aid to your tuition and fees after you accept your aid. If your aid does not cover your total tuition and fees, you will need to pay the balance by the fee payment deadline.
  • If you have excess aid after your tuition and fees are paid, MTC will establish a credit at the Marion Campus Bookstore so you may purchase your books and supplies.
  • Any remaining financial aid will be mailed to you 15 days after the first day of the quarter. (Please ensure the Office of Student Records has your correct address.)

Please make all schedule adjustments and Bookstore purchases by the second day of the quarter. If you have questions about the new procedures, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 740.389.4636 (ext. 334) or financial-aid@mtc.edu.
