Marion Area Partners Participating Schools and Program Locations
The following schools participate in the College Tech Prep System. Some, as indicated, host Tech Prep programs on site, some participate only, which allows their students to attend programs at other participating locations. In many cases, tech prep students are able to complete both years of their program at their home school, but if the home school does not host both levels of a program, then second year students simply take the Level 2 classes at another participating school. Similarly, if your school does not host the program of your choice, you might take both years of the Tech Prep curriculum at a school other than the one from which you will graduate. This flexibility allows a wider choice of programs to students of participating schools.

Any student from any school participating in College Tech Prep may sign up for any program. If the program is not offered at the student’s home school, the student will simply attend the Tech Prep classes at a school which DOES host the program. Students often worry that off-site programs will take them away from their friends at the home school, but in most cases, this does not happen. Between the other, non-tech prep classes a student does take at his or her home school and participation in extra-curricular activities, instead of losing their “home” friendships, students find they add “away” friendships and just widen their social circles. Most consider this a benefit of participating in off-site Tech Prep programs.
Education Administrators/Guidance Counselors
Marion Area Partners Consortium depends heavily on local partner school administrators and guidance counselors both for oversight of the programs at their schools and as representatives on the Executive Board who help mold the Tech Prep program to meet the needs of their students.
