Tech Prep
Business and Industry Involvement
A variety of local businesses either assist the College Tech Prep program by holding a seat on the Tech Prep Executive Committee which helps guide the program’s content, or by assisting with grant funds for various career-oriented projects such as the Reality Store, pictured here, where students “earn” a salary and “buy” necessities of life, thus learning why higher education is important and what it really costs to maintain a home and feed a family. Other businesses help by allowing students to attend internship days where they learn first-hand what various professions entail.
If your company would like to become involved in the College Tech Prep program in any way, either by hosting student shadow workers, assisting with funding, or by participating in program development, please contact [Roger Johnson], Marion Area Tech Prep Coordinator. Roger and his staff would welcome your participation.
