Parking
There are six designated parking areas within the Campus area. Lots 2 (adjacent to the George H. Alber Student Center), 3 (west of the Library/Classroom Building), 5 (southeast of the Technical Education Center), and 6 (east of the Library/Classroom Building) are designated for students and long-term visitors. These parking sites are maintained during bad weather and well-lighted for public access and safety.
Lots 1 (adjacent to Morrill Hall) and 2 (adjacent to the Technical Education Center) serve as faculty parking and handicap-accessible parking. Limited visitor spots are available for vendors and special event visitors. Student employees are used to patrol these lots as to avoid students abusing their parking privileges.
Disability permits may be obtained from the MTC Student Resource Center with proper verifications.
All MTC students must have their cars/vehicles registered. The registration process is free and available through the Student Activities Office in the Marion Campus Student Center (room 104).
Fines are administered to individuals not parking in properly designated areas. Fines should be paid promptly at the Morrill Hall Business Office (room 120). Failure to pay parking fines may result in the withholding of transcripts and/or diplomas. Students with three or more outstanding parking violations may have their vehicles impounded.
If you are a student and you park Illegally your car will be towed and you will be fined!!!
If you park in a visitors space the fine is $10 plus the cost of the tow. If you park in a Handicap space the fine is $25 plus the cost of the tow. Your car will be towed if you park in Non-Designated spaces, park in the grass, and state vehicle parking ONLY. Please park in the student parking lot to avoid a fine and your car being towed.
