Mental Health Resources
In an effort to help students identify and address their own barriers to success, the Student Resource Center employs a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Consultations with the counselor are confidential and available to students free of charge. The purpose of these services is not to address students' long-term counseling needs, but rather to try to help those students in crisis situations by educating them on appropriate options and available college and community resources, while providing personal support. Conditions such as depression, anxiety and substance abuse can keep students from focusing successfully on their academic goals. Finding solutions to these types of problems is very important.

Referral
Primarily students refer themselves by visiting the Office of Mental Health Services. On some occasions students may be encouraged to consult the counselor by their instructor(s) or college advisor(s).
Our Student Resource Center works with several local agencies and can refer students who are in need of additional assistance.
Eligibility
Persons making use of these services must be students currently enrolled in credit classes.
