This past year the State of Ohio made several changes to the ABLE (Adult Basic and Literacy Education) Program. One change moved the state leadership to the Ohio Board of Regents. Another was that MTC was awarded a grant to coordinate the ABLE program in Wyandot and Morrow counties as well as Marion County. We welcome the following people who have joined MTC as regular part-time employees in the ABLE program. All of the employees will work at ABLE sites in Wyandot, Morrow and Marion counties.

Employees include:

• Lisa Ebert, Mary Wines – Lead Instructors
• Marcia Pemberton, Marie McCreary, Sandy Adams – Instructors
• Earlene Piatt, Pam Richey – Instructional Aides

Staff from Marion City Schools who are partnering with MTC ABLE include Instructors,
Ruth Stage and Kelli Grisham; and Instructional Aides, Deborah Clapham and Virginia Gates.

The ABLE program primarily provides educational opportunities for
adults, including high school graduates, to increase their foundation of basic skills, prepare for the GED test, or prepare for post-secondary enrollment.
