Respiratory Therapy
Program Curriculum

Marion Technical College and Rhodes State College have entered into a health care partnership in order to offer  an associate degree in Respiratory Care to MTC students beginning this summer. This agreement allows MTC students to take general education courses at MTC, and a blend of respiratory technology courses from Rhodes State. The plan will have Clinical experiences available close to Marion.

A very important aspect of the Respiratory Care program is that these seats are reserved for qualified MTC students or individuals living in MTC's service area.

Mission Statement:

The Respiratory Care Program exists to prepare students as competent advanced level respiratory therapists within a learning-centered environment so that the development of critical thinking, an appreciation of global diversity and the capacity for life-learning occurs.

Upon completion of the Respiratory Care Program at Rhodes State College, graduates are eligible to sit for the national board exams to become a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
