Diversity Motto:

  • The staff and faculty at Marion Technical College recognize and understand the similarities and differences between ourselves and other individuals based upon race, religion, age, gender, disability, ethnicity, and economic status while advocating an environment where diverse cultures are respected and valued.

Diversity Club:

  • Students will meet once or twice monthly
  • students will address concerns and make suggestion on how to provide a friendlier environment for the various cultures here at Marion Technical College
  • allow students time to meet and mingle with other individuals who share similar concerns as themselves

Mentoring Program:

  • to foster a network of support to first year students
  • mentors would serve as peer support for freshman students and share program goals aimed at ensuring their retention in the college program
  • will help to ease students' transition from high school to college life
