Real Estate Sales Certificate
Program Curriculum
Real Estate Salespersons help people realize the dream of owning a home, and play an important role in the development of local communities. MTC’s Real Estate Sales Certificate offers individuals a fast-track to a real-estate career. Students who earn a certificate will learn to work with a variety of publics, including buyers and sellers, property managers, tax and title professionals, government agencies, and construction and inspection officials.
The Real Estate Sales Certificate prepares you to take the licensed Real Estate Salesperson Exam. In order to earn this credential, the State of Ohio requires completing required coursework, meeting contact-hour requirements, and passing the appropriate exam.

Career Outlook
Real estate professionals are finding strong opportunities in both urban centers and small communities. In 2004, about 460,000 professionals were employed as real estate brokers and sales agents in the United States. Job projections for Ohio indicate a 2.8% growth for real estate brokers, an 8.8% increase for real-estate sales agents, and a 16% increase for property managers through 2012.
