Application Submit or apply online at this site a completed Application for Admission and a $20 Application Fee to the Office of Admission. Although there is no formal deadline, you should submit your application at least three months prior to your intended starting date. In addition, you should submit an official highschool transcript, GED results, and college transcripts (if applicable). Students interested in limited enrollment programs such as Interactive Media, Nursing, Human and Social Services, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, PTA, Radiography, and the Criminal Justice Peace Officer Option should refer to the program description in the College Bulletin for details. ACT Scores are required for Nursing, Human and Social Services, PTA, and MLT only, but are recommended for all students.
Financial Aid
Apply for all of the financial aid for which you qualify and wish to be considered. Contact the MTC Office of Admission for applications and information. Apply early! Some types of financial aid may take up to eight weeks to process. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Form is required, apply on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The college scholarship application deadline is June 1 for the following academic year.
Basic Skills Assessment(COMPASS)
This free service assists you in selecting classes in math and English, which are appropriate to your current academic skills. Basic Skills Assessment should be completed by all students prior to selecting first quarter classes. Contact the Office of Admission or the Student Resource Center for testing dates and times. A Technical Skills Test is offered to assess basic computer skills to assist your selection of courses.
Advising and Class Registration
The final step in the enrollment process is to meet with your academic advisor and select your schedule of classes. Through MTC’s One Stop and Rolling Registration program, you can see an academic advisor and register (call for a personal appointment).
