WELCOME TO YOUR COMMUNITY’S STATE TWO-YEAR COLLEGE!
Marion Technical College enrolled a record number of students for fall quarter, 2008 with nearly 2,400 students. MTC experienced a 10.5% enrollment jump from one year ago.
WELCOME SESSIONS FOR FUTURE STUDENTS AVAILABLE
Do you need assistance understanding how to enroll in college? Are you confused about financial aid? New and Returning college students are encouraged to attend one of MTC’s fall Admission Welcome Sessions listed at the bottom of the MTC Home Page at www.mtc.edu (you may sign-up for a session online) or call the 740 389 4636 to schedule an appointment.
Winter QUARTER REGISTRATION – Classes begin January 5
Details are available online at www.mtc.edu. It is also important to complete the COMPASS Basic Skills and Technology Skills Assessments prior to your registration date (appointments for testing are not required). Registration on December 3 for NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS by appointment only. (Note: Some PSEO students, especially at off-campus sites, may already be registered and need not attend.) FINANCIAL AID FOR WINTER QUARTER—STILL AVAILABLE – November 18 is the recommended deadline for Winter Quarter financial aid application!
Be sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible (not required for PSEO students). The FAFSA form is the basis for all federal and state financial aid. Access the form online at http://www.mtc.edu/FinancialAid/index.html to complete this application electronically. The FAFSA and Safford Student Loan applications may be completed online at the above website. NEW MTC OFFICIAL 2008/09 CATALOG AVAILABLE
The new catalog includes academic program updates, admission changes and new college calendar dates for the entire year. Copies are now available by request and posted online at www.mtc.edu.
NEW STUDENTENT ORIENTATION

MTC HELPS STUDENTS SAVE ON DRIVING EXPENSES:
IQ Web (or My MTC) is an Internet software system designed to provide students, faculty, administrators and other members of an educational institution's learning community with "anytime, anywhere" access to information services. Our goal is to upgrade MTC’s ability to provide better and faster services online and off, that will require fewer trips, such as online registration.
SAVING YOU GAS! Did you know that many MTC courses are taught “one or two days per week” including various “online course options” that require fewer trips to campus? In addition, some programs offer full-time class schedules by attending just “two days per week”.
DID YOU KNOW? Even with the growing cost of travel, MTC is among the least expensive forms of higher education in Ohio and tuition will not increase this year. TRANSFER BECOMES EASIER WITH STATE-WIDE TAGS
